Pursuit 2025
3rd-7th March 2025
This events week we looked at the theme of Pursuit – both our pursuits in life and Jesus’ pursuit of us! Our evening events saw us join forces with the other Manchester CUs as we heard from Ste Casey from Speke Baptist Church, Liverpool. At lunchtimes, Ash Cunningham from Grace Church Cheltenham spoke to UoM on some pressing questions such as ‘Why did God make fragile minds instead of flawless machines?’ We had a great time, and can’t wait to do it all again in 2026!

Think Rethink 2023 and 2024
27th February-3rd March 2023
26th February-2nd March 2024
We loved our central topic from 2023 so much that we did it twice! You can see a taste from 2024 on the right – each day consisted of a prayer & breakfast, lunch events at each university, International Dinners, all followed by an evening talk in Union Hall. Across the week we heard from UCCF’s Emma Penwright, Felipe Carvalho, Michael Williams, Tom Chevis, Katie Bojang, Abi Zabala Pazmino, Benjamin Smith and Rebecca Nunes.
Perspective 2022
21st-25th February 2022
In the last week of February 2022, we teamed up with Manchester Metropolitan, Salford University, RNCM, and UCFB to run a week of events called Perspective. Our speaker, Michael Ots, talked about the Christian perspective on Freedom, Pain, and Hope every evening, while every lunchtime the CU held events such as ‘Isn’t Christianity just glorified colonialism?’ and “How can you claim Jesus is the only way?’ Friends International also ran events for international students with Peter Teagle discussing topics over a meal.
Perspective was such an encouraging week for us all as a CU as we saw God move on our campus and in the lives of our friends.
