What happens in a year?
As a CU we run several events throughout the year that are designed to encourage conversation and fellowship – these are open to everyone and we’d love to see you there! Below are some mainstays of our yearly calendar – but there are lots of other events throughout the year e.g. lunch events, prayer & worship nights, sports days, Impact Group Outreach Weeks, and so much more! A huge week in the CU calendar where every day is packaged with morning prayer, fun activities and a chance to get to know Manchester, UoM and the Christian Union better!

Weekend Away 2024
Weekend Away
The Weekend Away is joint with other Christian Unions in Manchester and is always one of the major highlights of the year! A weekend full of games, talks, food & fun, facilitates the perfect space to build friendships and grow closer in fellowship with Jesus. Sign-up details coming when term starts!

Carol Service
Our Carol Service is another joint CU event to bring your friends along to an evening of carols, a live orchestra and choir, a range of other performances and a short talk that gets to the heart of the Christmas message. We’d love for you to join with us in sharing the light of Christmas this season!

Events Week
The MAIN EVENT of the Christian Union Calendar each year. Every day for 5 days we will hear thought-provoking talks working through the gospels, hear personal stories about people’s encounters with Jesus and have deep discussions about the Christian worldview. As a missions team, the Christian Union uses Events Week as an opportunity to invite all those on campus to come and hear the good news of Jesus Christ and the hope that He offers. Whether you would describe yourself as a Christian or not, we would absolutely love to have you come along – everyone is welcome!
